San Martín lights up El Salvador’s tallest Christmas tree, located at Plaza Divino Salvador del Mundo

San Martín lights up El Salvador’s tallest Christmas tree, located at Plaza Divino Salvador del Mundo, with the intent of bringing love, hope and joy to every Salvadoran’s home. This year, spectators who witnessed the inauguration were also delighted with a musical show by Orquesta Sinfónica de El Salvador accompanied by El Salvador’s National Ballet. San Martín has turned this activity into a tradition. For the 9th consecutive year has delivered on its promise to bring families closer to share the magic of this season.

Guests can visit San Martín’s Christmas tree starting November 13th until January 6th 2023. The tree is lit up from 6pm until midnight. This majestic Christmas tree stands at 35 meters tall and is illuminated by 180,000 LEDs, 5,000 E14 bulbs and 24 wreaths. The tree is decorated with 4 enormous LED rings that feature patterns and designs of the season.

Besides the tree, a “hanging sky” has been installed at the plaza with 10,000 LED lights. This light installation surrounds the Divine Savior of the World Monument. Additionally, this year San Martín helped dress up the rest of the plaza with 100,000 extra LEDs. In the words of Luis Pedro Ibarra, San Martín’s Country Manager for El Salvador, “We are delighted to have the opportunity to share and celebrate the Christmas season with El Salvador. San Martín wishes that the light of our Christmas tree lights up the season for Salvadoran families and to allow us to be a part of their Christmas memories.”

Furthermore, San Martín has a variety of seasonal products that can be purchased in special cristal houses that surround the tree. Whoever visits the plaza can enjoy the delicious flavors of our Christmas cookies, hot chocolate and other products.

This 2022, San Martín wishes El Salvador and each and every one of our guests a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
